Emily Wunderle, December Elks Student of the Month

Emily pictureIt is a pleasure to announce that Emily Wunderle has been named the Bellows Falls Union High School December Elks Student of the Month.  Emily, a sophomore, is the daughter of Troy and Sarah Wunderle  of Rockingham.  Emily is a fantastic student who works hard on every assignment given to her. She always contributes willingly to class discussions; she willingly takes the lead in small group discussions, and she is never afraid to ask questions.  Interested in learning all she can, Emily challenges herself with difficult classes. Emily is often seen helping her classmates with any questions they might have.   She makes her education a priority and comes to school every day with an  open mind, and a desire to learn. Emily is known for her positive attitude and uplifting spirit that she brings to her classes and any activities that she joins.

Not only is Emily a strong student academically, she is also quite involved in the BFUHS community and the community in general.  She is an avid, active member of the school’s student council, a member of the field hockey team and an enthusiastic member of the BFUHS Drama Club.  Also interested in music, Emily is a member of the BFUHS band. She has served her community through participation in a local summer  youth field hockey program and participation in Circus Smirkus.  This past summer Emily represented not only our community, but our country through a School for International Training exchange to Costa Rica.

Congratulations go to Emily.  BFUHS is proud to have her represent us this month with the award.
